I have a gift subscription of The Daily Motivator by Ralph Marston, Jr. and in seeking words of encouragement for my mother, I discovered this phenomenal site. Keep up the outstanding work and THANK YOU for providing such an uplifting, positive collaboration!! Namaste ~j~

Thanks for your site. I use your thoughts for myself and the staff where I work as a nurse. They now come to my door to read what I put up. Have an fantastic day/weekend. You’re awesome!
Really? That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing that with me. You have a great weekend too, Lisa!
I love your motivational messages! They inspire me, cause I love to be positive all the time, and when I hear or see a lot of negatives here and there or around me from people, t.v. news, school kids…etc….I post up “Motivational Messages for friends and family to read and make them feel better, whether they are happy, sad, or down!” It makes them think positive and feel good and most of all make people think that all positive words inspire pass it on!” I love it!! Makes me feel great!!
Keep spreading the positivity, Estelle. The world definitely needs more of it. Thanks for commenting 🙂
If i remembered things that that I used to want and now have where would my motivation be?
I’m assuming you’re referring to this quote I posted yesterday on my Facebook page:
“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.” – Unknown
You can be grateful for what you already have while pursuing things you want. You don’t have to choose one or the other. This way, happiness won’t be a goal that you will never reach. Some people have tons of reasons to feel happy yet because they take what they have for granted, they’re always reaching for happiness but never getting there and feeling unhappy the whole time. No point in doing that. You can feel highly motivated while feeling happy for having the things you already have.
You just have to take the time to feel grateful for what you already have. Otherwise, once you reach your goal, you’ll feel happy for a moment and then unhappy again once you get used to having what you just got and set your eyes on something bigger, hoping it will bring you happiness. It’s an endless cycle.
Don’t pursue happiness; happily pursue.
Just my opinion of course 🙂
Thank u very much for this website…. It is helping me in so many ways. It has helped me in my performance at school, church, and community.
Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I appreciate it.
The last two years of life has presented many new significant challenges, seemingly all at once. So as I’ve done for most of my life I started digging into media of all sorts and spending a great deal of time and effort in my quest to become “unstuck”. All good stuff, but after a while it was becoming apparent my mind was becoming overloaded and I reached a point where everything was becoming a depressimg blur and I wasn’t feeling any better about my life, quite the opposite!
I”d all but given up using the Internet search engines for anything valuable these days as MY Internet has turned into THEIR Commerical Internet. Meaning one now gets what they want to push to us, instead of real research information I’m looking for. However today I was looking for simple motivational “bites” when I ran across your Blog entitled “Why reading more self help books won’t help.”
While reading the light came on and I realized I’ve been so busy trying to deal with my new life issues that I had completely bypassed/missed the basics learned 30-40 years ago!
Your call to Action hit hard and instantly seemed to open up a whole lotta doors !!
Thank you for all your efforts in creating, sharing and maintaining a GREAT clean site full of good “non commercial” information. Your efforts have helped me to clarify my situation, giving me great hope again and I want you to know how much I appreciate it!
John
That’s great to hear, John and thanks for taking the time to let me know something I wrote was of use to you! I appreciate it. Made my day 🙂
