About

Hi,

I’m Kevin and I’m grateful that you were somehow curious enough to come to this page to learn more about me. So without anymore delay, let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I created this website.

I believe that one small decision can have the power to change the entire course of your life. The next person you stand in line with at the bank, the next movie you see, book you read, song you hear, site you visit, job you take, can alter your life forever.

For me, it was a decision to take a summer job as a door-to-door sales person. Now, I must first tell you that door-to-door sales is not exactly the easiest job in the world, especially for an introvert like myself. Going through school, I was always the shyest kid in class. I was always deathly afraid of public speaking and by the time I got into high school, I “realized” at the time that life was really depressing. Not exactly the perfect candidate for a sales job.

Now, I wasn’t one of those “emo” kids at school, on the contrary, I was a pretty easy going guy with a great sense of humor. Just so you know, Jim Carrey is one of my idols. Even though that was the case, my mentality was in a bad place. Going through high school, I had the belief that life was basically pointless…

You go to school, get a degree, land a job, work for a while, get married, start a family, work some more, still working, retire when you’re 65, spend the remainder of your life trying to fight off diseases to stay alive, then finally, you die.

Now, that idea of life didn’t exactly excite me. I remember telling my friends I wished a big giant meteor would just shoot down and destroy the planet. Why? One, the thought of suicide was too lonely, and two, going out together with a big boom sounded more fun.

Talk about depressing right? Anyhow, the summer that I graduated from high school, I got a letter for a door-to-door sales position. Again, being the shy person who was deathly afraid of public speaking, I surprised myself by actually applying. To this day I’m still not sure what I was thinking that got me to apply for the job, but that one decision changed the course of my life.

I know what you’re thinking, “Ok, so you got the job and turned out to be a sales superstar, made a ton of money, and lived happily ever after right?” Not exactly, in fact, I was quite bad at that sales job. But what changed my life was the manager for my sales office. He got me interested in the field of personal development.

I never liked reading, but his enthusiasm about the subject sparked my interest. The next thing I knew, I was constantly at the library reading and soaking up book after book on personal development. I also started to constantly listen to audio programs, this was before we had CD’s. I ended up reading hundreds of books and listening to thousands of hours of audio programs since that time.

Out of that, my mentality completely changed. Now I see life as an incredible journey, one that is full of possibility and excitement. I wanted to be able to inspire others just like how my manager at that job inspired me. I developed my self confidence and ended up doing dozens of motivational speeches. It is such a great feeling to have someone come up to me and tell me that my speech inspired them to become more and do more in life.

So this is my goal for this website: To provide tools that will help inspire, motivate, and keep people focused on achieving their dreams. Why? Because setting goals and dreams is the easy part. Starting is the hard part, but continuing even in the face of constant difficulties is the biggest challenge of them all.

We all know that in life, there will be many challenges. We all face them. Some challenges will make you stronger, some will bring you to your knees, and all have the potential to make you grow. It’s your decision to either use challenges to become better, or use them as “valid” excuses to give up.

I lost my father a few years ago to cancer, he had just turned 50. We found out only 3 months earlier that he was diagnosed with cancer. It was the hardest challenge I ever had to go through. I could’ve easily seen that event as completely unfair and just become bitter about life, but instead I have used that event to become stronger and more determined to make a positive impact on this world. Life is fragile so we’ve got to make the best of it while we still can.

I’m sure you’ve been asked, “What would you do if you only had one day to live?” This question never made sense to me since I’d imagine that for most of us, it would be one depressing day filled with a lot of crying and cursing.

Now if you had 3 months to live, that’s a different story. You can create a meaningful bond with your kids if you haven’t ever done so. You can make them feel proud of who they are. You can get your loved ones to understand that your love for them will never cease to exist. You can inspire them to dream big and live life with a meaningful purpose. If you’ve never told your loved ones you love them, especially because ever since they passed a certain age it just became “uncool”, you can tell them, and they will never forget that moment for as long as they live.

What would you do if you had 3 months to live?

So, I will do my best to give you the best tools to help inspire and motivate you. I welcome any suggestions and tools you may feel will be beneficial to others as well. Thank you for visiting and remember to…
