If you’re brand new to Amazon’s Kindle and want to know how to download Kindle books, whether it’s free or not, here are the steps. (You don’t need a Kindle to read Kindle ebooks)
1. Download a free Kindle Reader App.
Whether you want to read the books on your computer, phone, or tablet, you can download the appropriate program at that link.
2. Go to Amazon, sign in, find the book you want, and click on the appropriate device in the drop down box under the “Buy” button, then click the Buy button.
3. From here, you should see the book show up in your Kinder Reader application that you downloaded and installed in step 1 if it’s free. If it’s not free, you’ll need to go through the usual Amazon payment process.
