I Will Survive – I chose this song because it’s one of the classic songs that talk about personal strength. No matter what you’re going through, no matter how hard it may be right now, no matter how torn your heart is, have hope, you will survive. You will move on. You will become stronger. It’s just a matter of time.
As difficult as it may seem at the moment, things will get better. If you’re in a situation where things won’t get better just through the passing of time, then do whatever it is you need to do to get out of the rut you’re in. Others have gone through what you’ve gone through and survived it just fine. Getting through a tough time isn’t about ability, it’s more about decision and strategy.
Of course, while you’re feeling like crap, it’s hard to think positive. It’s okay to sit there and feel sorry for yourself but don’t do it for too long of a period. Life is short. Whatever you may be going through, you’ll get through it with time, if not, then with action of some sort. It’s never the end. Worse comes to worse, get help.
