That’s really true because im also one of the people who came from a small one just like a poor family but NOW!!!!!!!!! i cant believe, I will have a prosperous life Im having right now…I thank the Lord that He bless me and never leave me whatever happens in times that i am in down..From now…I have my own resort at palawan..a restaurant at Cebu…also with a Hotel at Bohol..a company at metro manila here at philippines..I love my life…but maybe all of these are useless if i dont use as a good thing ….hindi naman ako nagkulang sa tulong sa aking mga kapwa….actually nakapagpatapos na ako ng almost i think,,101 na tao.
Thanks for sharing this. I'm sure it will help many people who read it. That's pretty awesome.
Its true the same thing what the other comment i read. Myself I did not finished my college because i came from a poor family but i had a strong determination, I joined in the Philippine National Police, where I learned to be a good public servant in my hometown. The people I served inspired me a lot and gave me a good picture in life, where I gained more knowledge, respect and strong to face any trials in life. Determination and my Dreams drives me into success in life. Now, I have several real estate properties here in the U.S and Philippines.
The past doesn't matter, it's what you do right now that will determine your future. Thank you for sharing your experience.
This is the best motivation site ever! Before I didn't know what I want in life, and I was one of those who complained quite a lot, but today I started to dream, I know what I want, and now, when I read your article, it inspired me more. I will go out and get what I want, and make my dreams reality. Thanks a lot!
I'm really glad that you found my site useful and that it helped to make a positive impact on you. The important thing now is that you use this enthusiasm to take massive action on the things that you want in life. If you do that, you will eventually have to change your username from “dreamer” to “reality”. I wish you the best.
I do enjoy your MotivaTIONS BIG TIME !!1
Great Great Great,, I really inspired by this article. My situation is quite different than the people shared above. I am at late 40s. I have spent most of my life “say useless” I am late to understand but not too late.
Thanks Kevin Ngo
You're welcome 🙂
thanks sir.. u made my day
I'm glad you liked the article.
Reading this article reminds me of your video of Alan Watts. He speaks about doing what you love and not being concerned about money. I also noticed that you mentioned “Don’t let the limitations of your income bring your dreams down.” I think that’s what happens to some of us. We get caught up in surviving day to day and using our finances to fulfil others’ dreams then little is left over for our own dream.
Another challenge is saying No to others when persons want us to spend time and money accomplishing their goals. It also happens when we start doing something and realize that we need to change course and fear telling the person No because we want to switch paths. The fear of being called a quitter or that they will no longer want to be our friends or that people will be angry with us. Maybe you could write an article on Saying No because you are very insightful. I have read articles on Saying No but I am sure you have so much lessons to share.
I haven’t had to deal too much with not being able to say no to write a whole article on it. I think if you have a clear cut plan and keep busy, you’ll have less time to spend on other people’s goals. You just have to make it clear to people that your dreams/goals are extremely important to you.
As for changing course, that can be challenging especially if you’ve been on a certain path for a while and have other people depending on your contribution. One way would be to gradually spend more time on the new path until it becomes a priority over the old path.
That might not always work though. Sometimes, you just have to make a stand for your own dreams and remember that life is too short to spend much time doing things you don’t want to do. Feelings might be hurt but in the end, it’s your happiness versus theirs and in my opinion, NOTHING is more important than your own happiness.
Some might take that as being selfish but I believe when we’re happy, we’re a better person and in that state, we can do much more to contribute to society than if we were unhappy, bitter, and filled with regret.
Hi! as i was reading this article i cant help but smile while digesting all the single words, there was a friend who introduce the “THE LAW OF ATTRACTION” to me and its been a month now since i started reading the same and it really inspires me. I am indeed a dreamer, i had started my ministry also for a year now in our congregation but since i left the country to earned better income, my cousins and true my mothers help the ministry continues till now. For now i can say that i am just starting to pursue but i know with my faith and struggles all things will fall into pieces where i want it.
