i had a query . i'm a btech student of iit Delhi (INDIA ) electrcal engineering.
after 2 year of hard work i entered iit.
so there has been a break in my studies for about 6 months now there are term xams on head & i feel difficult to recover.
i am unable to keep me motivated enough to study even 5 hours a day . PLEASE suggest something for college students
I'm not sure if this will work for you but back when I went to school, thinking about studying for several hours a day made me not even want to get starting. So what I did was broke it down into 30-60 minute sessions. I just told myself I would study for only a certain amount of time then take a break. More often then not, once I got going, it was a lot easier to continue studying.
You can break the study session down even shorter if necessary, say, 15 minutes. Thinking about having to study for 5 hours can be overwhelming and is the reason why you feel unmotivated. When you break it down into something much smaller, it's a lot easier to do. The whole point is to get started because once you do, momentum will kick in and you'll have an easier time completing your studies for the day.
How can be it is possible to be a self-displined,self-motivated student , who stays in an college hostel at the first time, apart from the family and the true guiders.
who or what can i trust for the same
pls. suggest
Plenty of other people have gone through the same thing. It's possible to be self disciplined and motivated even in that environment. It's just a matter of will. Take it a step at a time until everything is routine for you. For example, set a time during the day for which you will commit to studying no matter what. Also remember that there's a time to play and enjoy to relax your mind as well but be disciplined enough not to get too carried away with that. Everything is new so it may be a challenge at first but give it some time and it'll become easy. Good luck!
