Increase Your Happiness

How do you know if you’re happy and how can you increase it? Well, happiness can mean different things to different people. For some, happiness comes from having security while for others, it comes from having freedom or being adventurous. Many define happiness as being loved.

Regardless of what happiness means to you, you can probably give it a number from 1-10, 10 being very happy. So let’s say you’re at a 6 at the moment. The question would then be: What has to happen in order for you to be at a 7 or 8, keeping in mind that small incremental jumps are easier to achieve than big jumps.

The answer will depend on whatever happiness means to you. Focus on things that are within your control. Moving up a number or two on the scale can mean doing something like traveling more but it can also mean making a big change in your life such as changing your career or leaving a loveless relationship. There will often be some risks involved but ultimately, you’ll have to decide what level of happiness is acceptable to you and just do what you need to do.
