How to Get Your Song Featured

If you’re a song writer and have songs that would be appropriate for this page and would like to be considered for the featured section, let me know. I’m looking for songs that have a positive message with a nice melody or beat. How long it will stay featured will depend on the amount of submissions I get.

Not all feature songs are artist submitted. If I happen to come across a song I like, I’ll feature it. These will typically be songs that are by less known artists. This is my way of supporting these folks. If I don’t feature your song, please don’t take it personally. You could always add it to the comments section down below.

These songs are in alphabetical order. “New” means songs that were recently added to the list. Enjoy!

Motivational songs I couldn’t find a video for. If you’re able to find it, please let me know. Thanks.

1. My Vision – Seal

“Music enhances the experience of life for it has the power to move the deepest depths of our souls.” – Kevin Ngo

There’s no better way to motivate yourself than listening to a motivational song that pumps you up, puts a smile on your face, and shoots your confidence through the roof.

Everyone has a handful of songs that when they listen to it, it just makes them want to take action. Some of these inspiring songs can have lyrics that have nothing to do with motivation, yet we are inspired to take action. This is because we consciously or unconsciously anchor certain feelings to certain songs.

I’m sure you have a list of top motivational songs where when you hear it, it will bring you into a certain state whether it’s excitement, sadness, peaceful, etc. The motivation music above are just some songs I find motivational to me. Most of these songs have inspiring messages, some have an upbeat motivational sound to it, while others are just classic songs that conjure up images of inspiration. When you find inspirational songs that pump you up, use them to propel yourself towards the accomplishment of your goals.

Again, if there are any motivational songs, happy songs, workout music, or pump up songs you know of that aren’t on this list, please add them in the comments section. Thanks.

You may also enjoy the Relaxing Music section.

Songs that inspire/motivate me, personally:

“Escape”- Mt Eden
(Deep bass, beautiful choir vocals are inspiring and motivational.)

“300 Violin Orchestra”- Jorge Quintero
(Gets my creative brain going. Ideas start to pour out of my head.)

“Sick Of You”- CAKE
(Oddly enough, him complaining about everything in his life gets me inspired to get over something I'M complaining about/ stuck on.)

“Viola Lion”- Isles and Glaciers
(I like driving around late at night/ early in the morning with this song playing… amazing lyrics. Gets me thinking about stuff.)

“Six Days at the Bottom of the Ocean” and “Glittering Blackness”- Explosions In the Sky
(My favorite songs by them. Every song they make is so different and interesting. Nice background music.)

“In Coma (Acoustic)” or “Paralytic”- Dead Poetic
(Pretty songs that inspire me. I use them to calm me down.”

“Die”- Eliminate
(Yikes! The title and artist name might turn you away initially, but it's really a good song. Don't judge a song by it's title. If it helps, think up your own title for the song.)

“Big Boss”- Doctor P
(Half of the time, I like my music loud. Big Boss wakes me up and re-energizes me. Not for people who like quieter music, or if you're about to go to bed.)

“Louder Than Thunder”- The Devil Wears Prada
(A nice break from the usual TDWP. Gives me creative ideas all the time.)

“The Wrong Light”- Kasey Anderson and The Honkies
(Gets me motivated, wound up, and going. Crunchy, bluesy, awesome.)

I could go ON and ON, but I'll leave my list as it is. Sorry it's so long. Happy listening! :D

Soldier on, only you can do what must be done.”

I am trying to find a song to share with a friend. It is very upbeat and motivating. I believe that it is called Right This Moment… and my I Pod just says unknown artist (female). I cannot find it anywhere.

The song starts out with the words:
Right this moment
This very moment
Life is happening
Right in front of you
Right this moment
This very moment
Life is changing
And everything is new

If you know who sings this I would truly appreciate the info.

Kevin Ngo August 19, 2012 at 11:32 am

According to my research, it’s called Right This Moment from the CD, Dreams in the Making and it’s by Scott Johnson. The version I heard was from a male singer.

Great list, I found some new unique tunes for sure!

A few more in various genres… my favorites anyways

-One More & Rock What You Got … both by Superchick
-Gunpowder & Lead by Miranda Lambert
-Cant Hold Us Down by Christina Aguilera (these 4 are great for women!)
-Divine Inspiration by John Rueben (a little bit Christian but a feel good tune!)
-Crank It Up by Hipjoint ft Sherry St. Germain
-Heaven Is A Halfpipe by OPM
-Extreme Days by Toby Mac
-Yes by LMFAO
-Pursuit of Happiness – any version by Kid Cudi, but the best one in my mind is the Steve Aoki remix from Project X
-Machinehead by Bush (a little dark but good for working out!)
-Invincible by OK Go
-Some Nights by Fun.
-All You Need Is Love & With A Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles
OR the Across the Universe (movie) versions are even more upbeat/modern!
-That Fire by Black Tide
-No Plan B by Manafest ft Koie from Crossfaith
-No Beef (Originaol Mix) by Afrojack & Steve Aoki feat Miss Palmer
-My Body by Young The Giant

These few are more workout/pump up dance music
-Bangarang & Kill Everybody by Skrillex (if you like dubstep, sick songs to work out too!)
-I Can Only Imagine by David Guetta Chris Brown & Lil Wayne.. pretty mainstream but the beat is good!
-Chasing The Sun by The Wanted
-Disco Pogo by Die Atzen ft Jimmy Pop (better known as the Bloodhound Gang)
-Super Soaker (Rocket Pimp Remix) by Bombs Away
-Feel So Close by Calvin Harris
-Loca People by Sak Noel
-Gold Dust (Flux Pavillion Remix) By DJ Fresh
-No Sleep by Wiz Khalifa
-Lights by Ellie Goulding (The Bassnectar remix is the best in my eyes)
-Warrior by Swollen Members ft Tre Nyce & Young Kazh
-Atom (Original Remix) by Nari & Milani

Never Alone ~Barlow Girl – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX1S5VLYNv8 It can mean a few things. It could mean that god is with you even if you can’t feel him, or your loved one commited suicide/died but you know you’re not alone, or whatever you’re going through where you feel alone. *A must listen song*

(This next one is the most inspirational song I’ve ever heard) You’re gonna make it ~KJ-52 – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpdWDSX8tlY It talks about people might try to break you but you are gonna make it and it’s gonna be okay. *A must listen song*

(This is my favorite song) Broken Girl ~Matthew West – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guaG981MLoQ This song is truely amazing. It’s about a young girl who is sexually abused. She feels used and worthless and isn’t able to forget what happened. the song is trying to say that God’s love will fix you and bring you back up and that it is everlasting so no one can rip it away from you. It could also mean different meanings. It’s basectly about a broken girl who doesn’t know what true love is but God loves her so much he doesn’t want her to stay the broken girl. *A must listen*

I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis, chronic inflammation of the bladder. Also causes chronic intense pain. I was looking for songs to keep me inspired and to encourage me. I found this site and fell in love with it. I have listened to several of the songs. I have to say that when I listened to “Smile” Charlie Chaplain, I cried my eyes out. Such a simple song to help you get through it.

I would also like to suggest a song. It is called Blackbird by The Beatles. This song has been my go to song for when I’m down about my disability. “Blackbird singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly. All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise. Blackbird fly.” I’m a blackbird and my disability is a broken wing but I’m going to learn how to fly high with that broken wing. I hope this song helps someone else too!
Thank you so much for posting this! I do believe it will help me so much through my journey through life with this disability.
